Director of Safety (Commercial & Industrial Construction)

GFS Texas, Fire Protection Contractor based in Dallas, Texas is currently seeking a highly trained and experienced Director of Safety for multi-million dollar projects.

 

General Job Minimum Requirements:

10+ years of job related experience.

Project management experience.

This position requires multiple OSHA training and certifications:

USACE EM-385.1.1-2008,

OSHA 1926 and 1910

OSHA 500

OSHA 40-Hour HazWoper

Fall Protection

Extreme comprehension of all applicable safety requirements, laws etc. pertaining to each specific project requirements.

Maintaining safety inspections and OSHA logs.

Immediate job site investigation for all incidents.

Incident/accident investigation, documentation and reporting.

Ensuring compliance and enforcement on all OSHA requirements, policies.

Job site safety training and implementation for all workers and sub-contractors.

Provide regular audits/inspections.

Design and implement safety and accident prevention programs.

Continuous training to minimize on the job accidents and lower incident rates.

CPR / First Aid Certified.

Computer and Internet skills necessary with knowledge of MS Office and other applicable internal programs.

Ability to travel when necessary.
